DIGITAL THIEVES
someone has stolen my hands and replaced them with old man's gloves. how did that happen?
i think whoever is responsible did it over a long time. i didn't notice a thing until this morning when i looked down and there they were, gone.
i looked down and there were thick blue veins on the backs of my hands and hairs and wrinkles all over. my nails had survived somehow, some chewed, some needing to be cut.
don't get me wrong. i've never really thought i had special hands, they were never full of character the way say, a plumber's hands might be, or an artist's. but they were pinkish and smoothish and that's the way i liked them.
but now, instead, i have old man's gloves to wear.
i don't know who, or what, stole my hands, but i don't think they're ever coming back.
